A position of servitude to the medically fragile pediatric population, their families and the staff who care for them. Serving in both the Human Resources and Social Work role for a duo of groups homes that house medically fragile kids requiring 24-hour nursing care, there is not an "easy" way to describe what is done in this role. The HR side is responsible for recruiting, retention, employee relationships, benefits and ensuring that training is up-to-date for staff. The social services role allows room for advocating for, understanding and supporting the child and parent alike as they navigate balancing multiple complex medical diagnoses and the rest of their life.
