We specialize in transportation services with a team ready to move entire steel bridges, concrete girders, large crawler cranes, super-sized concrete structures, and other "impossible" freight items throughout the US. We have participated in projects of historical significance, including the construction of the Seattle Monorail in 1961. Our skilled drivers navigate remote logging roads and congested urban areas, solidifying our position as a safe and dependable partner for mission-critical industrial moves. VVD is proud to employ the finest Heavy Haul drivers and Specialized Operators in the region. VVD’s specialized equipment includes various “Super Class” Jeep and Dolly combinations enabling transport of the longest concrete bridge girders ever manufactured in Washington State and in the United States. We also operate some of the largest Lowboy combinations in the market, allowing for the most massive transport projects possible. In addition, we have a wide array of Heavy-rated flatbeds, step decks, double drops, “muvall” trailers and tractors. Our Intermodal Facility in Puyallup, WA includes a Rail Spur with capacity of up to 13 railcars. We provide railcar offloading and transload services as well as container unloading / reloading services. We have onsite Heavy Capacity Forklifts and can source Heavy Lift Cranes as needed. Storage sites include: 8 acres of laydown yard at our Intermodal Facility in Puyallup, WA 11 acres with 30,000 sq feet dedicated to indoor warehousing in Tacoma, WA 85,000 sq ft of indoor storage in Sumner, WA Throughout the 75-year history of V.
