• Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
• Manage the HR department and oversee all the HR functions for the organization
• Conduct pre-employment background checks, reference checks, and new employee orientation
• Update the company handbook and policies to remain in compliance with all local, state, and federal compliance laws
• Manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Leave of Absence (LOA), Washington Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML)
• Up-to-date reporting and knowledge on Affirmative Action, ADA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC), and HIPAA Privacy guidelines and laws
• Conduct and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations
• Answers general HR inquiries
