CDAide is a local nonprofit serving one of the most hard-working yet fragile groups in our community: those working in the hospitality industry. Whether they are servers, cooks, dishwashers, receptionists, or others, this group comprises one of the largest groups of employees in our community. They often struggle with limited income and assets, lack of insurance, and an absence of the resources their families need. Until now, they were not being served by any specific organization.
Our goal is to build a community-wide organization of individuals and entities, both secular and faith-based, to provide support through interactive relationships with those working in our restaurants, fast food places, and hotels and motels. We aim to be in relationships with community organizations, individuals, and hospitality workers. Our support could include providing counseling, mentoring, financial support, access to health care, one-on-one relationships, and other measures as determined.
