SPIE is the international society for optics and photonics, an educational not-for-profit organization founded in 1955 to advance light-based science, engineering, and technology. The Society serves 257,000 constituents from 173 countries, offering conferences and their published proceedings, continuing education, books, journals, and the SPIE Digital Library. Over the past five years, SPIE has contributed more than $22 million to the international optics community through our advocacy and support, including scholarships, educational resources, travel grants, endowed gifts, and public-policy development.

We offer our Club kids an array of fun and educational programs at all of our seventeen Clubs, as part of the flat membership fee these programs are available to all Club members. United Way of Snohomish County is more than a fundraiser. We are funder, partner, convener, and catalyst for positive, lasting, community change.
