We support lectures, staff rides, book studies, battlefield visits and professional military education. The Marine Corps University relies on its Foundation to bridge the financial gap between what the government provides and what the University needs, but did you know that MCUF sponsors unit education worldwide around our Corps through staff rides, battle-site visits, providing guest scholars, and more, for Marines who do not get the opportunity to attend the brick and mortar schools of the Marine Corps University located in Quantico, VA. Our donors made it possible to support the request of units such as 6th Marine Regiment and Marine Cryptologic Support Battalion, who came to MCUF last year with financial assistance requests for Professional Military Education. When it comes to making, training, and preparing Marines for their job, we cannot deny that education is essential, and PME provides opportunities to gain the experience and knowledge that make our Marines better on the battlefield and beyond. We have yet to reach our goal to be able to support 100% of the requests that we receive, but with your help we can achieve the funding mission of "No Marine or unit request will be left behind or turned away"​. C4K brings our mission to life by empowering youth from low-income families with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) skills through evidence-based mentoring programming. In Charlottesville City Schools, the average on-time graduation rate for students of color is 84%. For economically disadvantaged students, it is 81%. However, in our 17-year history as a mentoring organization, 98% of C4K members graduate high school on time and over 92% of those went on to attend college. All our programming is FREE to eligible youth: ● One-to-one mentoring. ● Drop-in group mentoring. ● Camps, workshops, job shadowing, field trips. ● Youth leadership opportunities on our Youth Council. ● Access to industry-level software, Video & Audio Production Suites. ● Self-paced, self-guided projects. ● A free, refurbished laptop. Since Holistic Haitian Alliance, formerly known as Helping Haitian Angels, was founded in 2008 we have pursued one unwavering objective – that families and communities in Haiti would thrive. We are not the only ones with this dream. Our Haitian brothers and sisters are helping us on a daily basis to achieve this goal. And together, our programs are working! Our growing alliance includes our children, over 70 employees, local community leadership, government officials, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and our supporters. In the past 15 years, we have evolved from a home for orphaned and abandoned children to a community pillar for strengthening families, education, and collaboration through our Kay Anj Village. Our joint efforts are transforming families and our community, and we are seeing improved outcomes in academic achievement, emotional care, social responsibility, and sustainable community practices. Kay Anj Village (KAV) is located on 40 acres in the Haitian commune of Dekle, just outside of Cap-Haitien. In addition to our foster homes, KAV has an education campus with primary, secondary, and vocational schools; a dental clinic, five farms, transitional care for young adults, volunteer housing, and is home to Hope Church – our growing community center of Evangelism.
