The Institute of Navigation (ION) is a not-for-profit organization advancing Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT). ION’s international membership is drawn from many sources including professional navigators, engineers, physicists, mathematicians, astronomers, cartographers, photogrammetrists, meteorologists, educators, geodesists, surveyors, general aviation and airline pilots, mariners and anyone interested in position-determining systems. Corporate members include corporations, civil and military government agencies, private scientific and technical institutions, universities and training academies, and consulting firms. The ION sponsors an International Technical Meeting Co-Located with the Precise Time and Time interval Systems Applications Meeting (PTTI) (January), IEEE/ION PLANS (Spring - Even Years), ION Pacific PNT (Spring - Odd Years), ION Military Division's Joint Navigation Conference (JNC) (Spring), and ION GNSS+ Meeting (September). These conferences provide a chance to present technical papers and discuss new findings with industry peers. The ION is well known for is its prestigious peer-reviewed and indexed quarterly journal, NAVIGATION. The journal publishes original, peer-reviewed articles on all areas related to the science and technology of air, sea, land and space navigation, including estimation of position, velocity, attitude, and time, and the technologies that support the determination of these quantities. Supporting technologies include navigation aids and instrumentation, algorithms and methods, error and integrity analysis, signal processing, biological navigation systems, surveying and geodesy. Editorial services for the journal are provided by professionals in government, industry, and academia.

Special Love, Inc. is a nonprofit providing a strong, nurturing environment for children with cancer and their families; through free camps and adventure programs, emergency financial relief, educational scholarships and virtual programs. Each year, Special Love serves hundreds of children and families around the country through in-person camps and programs, and virtual programs that reach them in their homes, or the hospital. Wherever they are, we are there for them. Special Love's camps and adventure programs host pediatric cancer patients ages 7 to 17, who are currently in treatment, and those up to 3 years off of treatment. Programs for young adult, long-term survivors ages 18 to 25, accommodate the effects cancer, and its treatment make have taken on them, as well as community of individuals who become life-long friends. Cancer can strain a families finances, so Special Love offers emergency financial aid to help keep the lights on, roofs over heads, cars running and sadly, in some cases, funeral assistance. No parent should have the added burden of how to make ends meet, or lay their child to rest. For young adults who have come to the end of their cancer journey, educational scholarships to help them pursue post-secondary education or training to move on with their lives, and plans. Special Love also provides a weekend retreat for parents whose children are in active treatment, as well as for bereaved parents. The weekend is designed by parents, for parents, to provide a safe place to share and support one another, help deal with the facts of cancer individually, and ultimately regain a sense of control. All Special Love programs and services are free. Special Love is dependent on private donations. We receive no state or government funding. The history of the Fairfax Education Association (FEA) as a labor union is one of long and proud service to the students and educators of Fairfax County. For almost 100 years, FEA has served as the voice of Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) employees with our state legislators, county officials, school board members and the superintendent. Throughout its history, FEA has stayed true to the mission of service to educators and to demanding the highest standards of education for the children of Fairfax County. FEA currently represents approximately 4,000 FCPS employees, including teachers, instructional assistants, custodians, administrative assistants, cafeteria workers and bus drivers. We are affiliated with the Virginia Education Association (VEA) and the National Education Association (NEA). We serve as the collective voice of our members. We believe that FCPS educators are advocates for students, and FEA provides an avenue for advocacy through lobbying, committee work, professional development offerings, events and rallies, collaboration with coalitions, and direct communication with school and community leaders.
