Jewett Sr, followed his dream, he built a 4000 sq.ft. building at the corner of 29th & Maury Streets in Richmond, VA. Jewett Machine was established, over the next two decades Bryce Sr. became known for two primary qualities, the extraordinary way he treated people, both customers and employees and the excellent quality of the products he manufactured. In 1981, Bryce D. Jewett Jr. took over as president of Jewett Machine, building on the same business culture established by his father in the early years although much has changed. The facility has grown to over 40,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art CNC equipment takes up most of the plant's floor space, Jewett still has a full complement of conventional equipment to ensure we meet a full range of customer needs. The culture is still the same, commitment to quality in all manufactured products, fairness to all people, each employee is given every opportunity to achieve his or her full potential and customers know how important they are.
