The Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake serves as a cultural hub and resource for Native Americans who live in the Salt Lake Valley in Utah. Some are young adults coming to attend college either at University of Utah or Salt Lake Community College. Some are families who moved to Salt Lake City to better their lives by taking a new job in the city. The Urban Indian Center serves as a gathering place where people can participate in familiar Native American community activities such as pow wows and sweats. These provide a comfort zone for those who are far away from home. Some of the people may need help with finding work or need basic staples of life assistance until they get on their feet. The Urban Indian Center is a place the people can turn to for assistance in health care, mental health care, and other needs. The UIC provides services that identify and educate our clients concerning preventive care, wellbeing, enjoyment, and encouraging better overall health of life within the Native American community.

USARA is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization and our mission is to support individuals and their families in all stages of recovery from alcohol and other drug problems. We work hard to identify and advocate for needed services related to substance misuse, infuse hope, and increase public awareness that long-term recovery is a reality. Why do we do what we do? Our goal is to reduce barriers and the stigma surrounding addiction that people in recovery face every day. We strongly believe that every RECOVERY VOICE COUNTS and anyone related to the recovery community can be an advocate for change. Together we can create a positive conversation around addiction and recovery throughout the state of Utah. We envision a day when public and private policies have been implemented at the local, state, and federal levels to help individuals and families get the help they need to recover, including access to effective care including health and wellness, treatment, peer support and other recovery services. Through advocacy, we can change policies that discriminate against people in or seeking recovery. Our focus is on the "solution" that involves mobilizing individual and community resources to promote recovery, not specific to clinical services or model of care. One of the founding principles of USARA is that we embrace all pathways to recovery. This principle is embodied in our leaders, volunteers, staff, policies and programs.

JFS is a nondenominational, nonprofit, social service agency which has cared for all Utahns since 1872. The agency provides services for older adults, gives safety net financial help and food pantry assistance to those in need, and offers counseling services and educational classes from our team of mental health clinicians.

Our primary mission began as a way to feed the hungry. Over the years, we’ve expanded to offer other meaningful services including hygiene, shower facilities, laundry services, internet access, haircuts, transitional housing, client outreach, education, and more. We have fashioned a collaborative service model by partnering with Wasatch Mental Health, Share a Smile Foundation, and Mountainlands Community Health Center to additionally provide on-site mental health, dental, and medical services.

The Utah Parent Center (UPC or Center) is an award-winning, statewide, nonprofit organization founded by parents of children, youth, and young adults with disabilities and special needs to help other parents facing similar challenges. Since 1984 the caring competent staff of the UPC have utilized a parent-to-parent model to help many thousands of parents and to represent a wide variety of disabilities, ages and families in many systems-level activities.
