She was honored to join their faculty, focusing her clinical research on macular degeneration, diabetic retinal disease and surgical diseases of the retina for 4 years before deciding to return to her Colorado roots. Dr Lalwani is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmlology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmologists, American Society of Retina Specialists, the Vit-Buckle Society and the prestigious Retina Society. She sees patients in both the Boulder and Longmont offices, and performs surgery at Boulder Community Hospital and Longmont United Hospital. She speaks Spanish fluently.
