Wilkinson Electric Inc. was founded in St. George, Utah in 1945 by Kay W. Wilkinson, starting as a small electrical contractor and a provider of electrical appliances and lighting fixtures. Since then, Wilkinson Electric has emerged to become one of the most respected electrical contractors in the Western United States. From its beginning, Wilkinson Electric has been led by a member of the Wilkinson family. In 1970, Randy W. Wilkinson, Kay’s oldest son, graduated from Brigham Young University with an MBA and was named the general manager. In 1974, the Company was incorporated with Randy becoming the Company President. As Wilkinson Electric grew, a northern Utah branch office was opened in 1982 in the city of Springville under the direction of Bradley Wilkinson, a major stockholder and board member. Randy was called to serve a mission in Scotland and Scott Wilkinson was named president of Wilkinson Electric in July of 2000. In 2015, Travis Wilkinson, the company CFO, was appointed president while Scott transitioned to serve as Secretary with Troy Wilkinson serving as Vice President of the Southern division and Jeron Wilkinson as Vice President of the Northern division. Today, Wilkinson Electric’s experience and integrity runs three generations deep. Wilkinson Electric has come to be recognized for its varied completed projects portfolio and its continued commitment to excellence. This commitment has proven beneficial to the strength of the company as it has grown since its inception from annual revenue of $240,000 to $24,000,000.
