The Gradall brand is known worldwide for innovation and versatility, producing unique infrastructure construction and maintenance machines for governments and contractors. Gradall excavator models are designed for general construction as well as building and maintaining highways, railroads, metal mills, mines and for firefighting. Gradall also applies its unique design and hydraulic system expertise to produce Vacall machines that use water jetting and vacuum forces for sewer line maintenance, high-performance vacuuming and hydro excavation. Gradall excavators, marking 75 years of production, were the first to use hydraulic power for all machine functions, including its versatile telescoping, full-tilting boom movements. Gradall also introduced the first excavator with a highway-capable wheeled undercarriage, avoiding the need for a lowboy trailer. Today, Gradall’s XL Series and Discovery Series excavators can be driven at 60 mph, and repositioned from the operator cab. For on- or off-road applications, Gradall produces excavators for many markets with rugged rubber tire and crawler undercarriages — also known for exceptional all-direction mobility and stability. Vacall machines deliver industry-leading jetting and vacuum power, clearing obstructions in sewer lines and excavating around underground pipes, foundations and other obstructions. A new Vacall innovation recycles water used for jetting, allowing machines to conserve water and work continuously without stopping for refills. Gradall Industries, Inc., an Alamo Group company, maintains all Gradall and Vacall design, manufacturing, sales, product development and support activities in New Philadelphia, Ohio. As a result, the Gradall excavator is the only excavator produced only in America. While Gradall Industries maintains a global network of machine distributors, the Ohio location provides a distinct advantage for equipment owners in North America who rely on factory-based product information and support.
