The Texas Tech Alumni Association (TTAA) is an independent, non-profit organization promoting academic excellence at Texas Tech University. TTAA strives to support the university and serve TTU alumni and friends by providing programs, events and benefits.

The Children's Home is a community of volunteers, workers and supporters, pouring their efforts together to make life better for children who need to see that caring and love do exist in a world that has often been unfair and unjust. Since the Home opened its doors in 1954, over 6,000 children have been helped through the Home's services. Praised by licensure reviews as one of the best programs in the State of Texas, The Children's Home places a strong emphasis on family rehabilitation, with programs of care designed for children and their families. On any given day an average of 110 boys and girls are in care in the various programs of The Children's Home of Lubbock. The Children's Home is licensed and reimbursed for services rendered by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and meets or exceeds all standards established for out-of-home care of children. Children are served without regard to their race, religion, or national origin. The Children's Home has a debt-free modern group care campus, designed to serve 90 children on any given day. Forty-five to sixty more children are served in other programs at the Home. All child care staff receive more than 50 hours of training each year. Spiritual training is a vital part of each child's life at the Home. Each cottage worships at a different congregation in the Lubbock community. Staff and children become active participants in the congregation where they worship. Spiritual training policies are set by the Board of Directors and implemented by our staff without regulation by the State. Last year the Home served 244 public sector boys and girls who would not otherwise receive the blessing of knowing about the God who loves them.

Lubbock Area United Way is in the business of creating meaningful and tangible impact in our community. We help bring the community together to look at the most urgent needs and do whatever it takes to improve lives. We work to address the needs today and the issues of tomorrow. Research shows that quick-fix solutions addressing the symptoms of issues are not effective, we must address the root causes of problems in order to create lasting, positive change. We are about people empowering people. We care deeply about the individual lives that are changed. And, we care about improving the overall quality of life in this community. The Lubbock Area United Way stands for hope and optimism. We hold ourselves accountable, not just for action, but also for results. Craig Garriott was the founding pastor of Faith Christian Fellowship (FCF) PCA, an intentional cross-cultural, multi-ethnic church, devoted to celebrating and applying the reconciling work of Jesus Christ in word and deed, and building grace-filled disciples to serve the Pen Lucy community, Baltimore and the world. Beginning in 1980 with approximately a dozen attenders, FCF grew to approximately 400 members and attenders with strong wholistic leadership teams, community development ministries, global mission initiatives and a commitment to church planting. Craig continued to serve as pastor of FCF for 38 years until 2018 where he now focuses on cross-cultural leadership development for disciple-making movements through Baltimore Antioch Leadership Development (BALM)
