The McKenna Foundation was established in January 2008 with the proceeds from the sale of McKenna Memorial Hospital to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care. Seventy years after the hospital's founding, the McKenna Foundation carries the legacy of caring for the community. From wellness to well-being, they remain committed to advancing the health and well-being of the New Braunfels community now and for generations to come. The McKenna Foundation also oversees the operations of the McKenna Events Center and McKenna Children's Museum.

The Cibolo Nature Center (CNC), a 100-acre green space located in Boerne, Texas, is the only preserved natural area in the 665-square mile area of Kendall County that is open to the public. It was established in 1988, by the Friends of the Cibolo Wilderness, the non-profit organization that oversees the CNC and augments its budget with private and philanthropic support, with a mission to “promote the conservation of natural resources through education and stewardship.” Embracing four distinct ecosystems – riparian forest, live-oak savannah, tallgrass prairie and spring-fed marsh – the CNC provides education, research, entertainment and outdoor activities for thousands of visitors each year while promoting sound stewardship of land, water and wildlife and serving as a valuable resource to schools and other academic institutions.

The Texas Organizing Project (TOP) improves the lives of low and moderate income Texas families by building power through community organizing and civic engagement. TOP is a membership-based organization that conducts issue advocacy, lobbying efforts and electoral organizing on behalf of working families in Texas.

EcoRise inspires a new generation of leaders to design a sustainable future for all. Our school-based program empowers youth to tackle real-world challenges in their schools and communities by teaching sustainability, design innovation, and social entrepreneurship. EcoRise began in one public high school in Austin, Texas, in 2008. EcoRise has grown over the past ten years and is serving over 1,500 teachers this year, impacting over 86,000 students. By 2020–2021 school year we aim to serve over 4,000 teachers impacting more than 250,000 K–12 students across the globe. Austin Recovery is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, providing affordable recovery services to adolescents and their family members. AUstin Recovery offers two youth serving programs for those seeking recovery and their family members, including: Keystone: Our Keystone program offers alternative peer groups to support adolescents seeking recovery support. Univeristy High School (UHS): UHS is a sober high school offering wrap-around support to adolescents in recovery while they work towards their high school diploma. Our high school programming is offered both in person and digitally and includes 1x1 coaching, group support and a wide variety of extracurricular support activies. UHS is located on the UT Campus in Austin, Texas.

In June of 1997, ten United Methodist churches in San Antonio, Texas established the Hispanic Religious Partnership for Community, a network serving the needs of the underserved. To address client health and wellness, the organization funded church outreach-based programs, including after-school tutoring, food pantries, life enrichment, health & wellness fairs, and well-being classes. Later, the organization evolved to include more direct services, such as CPS utility assistance, emergency food assistance, and referrals for other services. In 2010, the organization refocused its mission in response to consistently witnessing one vital, yet forgotten basic need that impacts the physical, mental and economic well-being of individuals: diapers. In 2013, the board of the Hispanic Religious Partnership for Community renamed the organization the Texas Diaper Bank to reflect its new mission.

Jewish Family Service of San Antonio (JFS) strives to enhance the quality of life of individuals and families of all ages, faiths, and backgrounds in San Antonio and the surrounding area, through social, psychological, health and educational programs guided by the Jewish values of “repairing the world” and “taking responsibility for each other”. Additionally, JFS seeks to remove the financial barriers to mental health and social services in our community.
