Our mission is to help people with disabilities understand and exercise their rights under the law, ensuring their full and equal participation in society. Our mission is to be the leading advocate for Delaware’s children. CHILD, Inc. provides creative prevention and treatment programs that meet the changing needs of families. We serve children traumatized by neglect and abuse and their parents. Our team serves those involved in domestic violence situations, especially children. By protecting the victims and treating those responsible for acts of domestic violence we help children heal. We also offer a full array of educational, prevention and clinical services focused on strengthening the parent/child relationship by promoting positive parenting skills through parenting workshops and co-parenting support. The Center for Child Protection, a nationally accredited children’s advocacy center, is the first stop for children in Travis County who are suspected victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse and for children who have witnessed a violent crime. The Center is a child-friendly, specially-equipped facility where children go for recorded forensic interviews, medical exams, counseling and intervention during the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases. It is the only nonprofit in Travis County involved in the investigation of crimes against children. All services are provided to children and their protective caregivers at no charge and most are available in English and Spanish. Children are referred to the Center for Child Protection for services exclusively through law enforcement and Child Protective Services when one or more of the following circumstances have occurred: - A child made an outcry of sexual abuse. - A child has experienced physical abuse. - A child has witnessed a violent crime.

Austin Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Austin Habitat focuses on the holistic experience of homeownership as a catalyst for community change. Austin Habitat goes beyond the well-known new homeownership program by also offering critical home repairs to low-income homeowners and housing counseling to the general Austin community. Our programs are designed to develop and preserve strong communities by providing comprehensive services that prepare homebuyers for the responsibilities of homeownership, incentivize long-term ownership, and keep existing homeowners in their homes.

Our mission is to support healing and growth in children, young adults and families by providing a continuum of care, support and resources. We serve individuals who have experienced severe emotional trauma, abuse and neglect.

Meals on Wheels San Antonio prepares and delivers nutritious meals each weekday to homebound seniors living in Bexar, Frio, Atascosa, Comal, Edwards, Guadalupe, Karnes, McMullen, Medina, Uvalde, and Wilson Counties. During the last fiscal year, Meals on Wheels San Antonio provided 1,000,000+ meals to 5,320 seniors. Adults who are homebound, unable to cook for themselves, and lack outside support are eligible for services at no charge. Meals on Wheels San Antonio has served the senior citizens of Bexar County since 1977. Today, our agency is one of Bexar County’s largest non-profit organizations providing services to seniors. Services include home meal delivery, companionship for homebound seniors, and daytime care for seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia-related diseases. The Refuge for DMST™ (Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has developed The Refuge Ranch, a long-term, residential, therapeutic community for 48 girls, minors through age 19, who have been rescued out of sex trafficking. Built from the ground up on 50 acres in a beautiful and restorative setting outside of Austin, TX, The Refuge Ranch provides trauma-informed, holistic care for the girls on site, including: psychiatric services from Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin’s Department of Psychiatry and the Institute for Early Life Adversity Research; education through the University of Texas-University Charter School (UT-UCS); medical services by community partners; and various therapeutic programs uniquely designed for the development of a child survivor. We also strive to educate the community about the needs of men and women experiencing homelessness and innovative approaches to meeting those needs. Front Steps meets the needs of homeless individuals by leveraging broad, diversified streams of funding and community support.
