Privately-held oil & gas producer, primarily involved in acquiring and exploring oil & gas properties • Served on the team that converted from tax-basis to GAAP-basis financial statements, successfully completing the annual external audit on time • Assisted with quarter- and year-end analysis, clean-up entries, GAAP accruals, and financial reporting • Prepared and booked acquisitions & divestitures entries, working with the Land department as needed • Reviewed all lease & well equipment accounts on a quarterly basis to ensure correct coding and compliance with the company’s capitalization policy, making correcting entries as needed • Overhauled all yard inventory accounts; managed all material transfers using CEPS pricing; maintained an updated listing of inventory stored at each location; performed semi-annual physical inventory counts • Co-created with the CFO a dynamic Projected Cash Flows model that is presented at Reserve Report meetings • Packaged data and information to provide to the tax consultants; answered questions and made entries as needed • Served as one of the main points of contact during annual external audits; organized all PBC items
