In 1945 Emilia and Walter Arends Sr. started O.K. Lumber Company on the property now known as 'Lucky's market parking lot'​. It has been successful and today it is still run by Emilia and Walter's children and grandchildren. In 1964, Walter Arends Jr. and brother Robert purchased the business from their parents.
