Hired as program staff person and worked with increasing responsibilities over the next nine years. Among my work responsibilities and accomplishments: -Conducted review of competitive and supporting organizations’ grantmaking portfolio. Oversaw grantmaking portfolio that included tri-state and binational programs. -Managed portfolio of bi-national (US/Mexico) grantmaking initiatives with emphasis on health and human services, community development and the environmental projects. -Served as project coordinator for the adaptive reuse and restoration of the Plaza Theatre, a 1920's atmospheric vaudeville movie palace. Responsibilities included raising funds and community visibility for the initiative and identifying and securing funding for the capital campaign.
