Employing almost 80 employees, TEXAR includes one main branch and three branch offices in its service area. All citizens of Cass, Bowie, and Miller Counties and most citizens of Red River and Lamar Counties are eligible for membership. Originally established as “Bowie County Teachers Credit Union”, TEXAR has gone through several name changes, including “Bowie-Cass Teachers Credit Union" in 1964, the “Teachers Federal Credit Union” in 1996, and finally “TEXAR Federal Credit Union” in 2001, as it remains today. Throughout our history, TEXAR strives to stay true to our mission: “TO SERVE THE FINANCIAL NEEDS OF OUR MEMBERS” As a not for profit financial cooperative, we are always looking for ways to enhance the benefits received by our membership.
