In November of 2011, the idea to begin a fracturing company became a reality of the Chief Operating officer. TOPS stands for Total Oilfield Pumping Solutions. In December 2011, a meeting was conducted with investors to discuss the business plan for starting TOPS Well Services. As of January 2012 a deal was sealed and TOPS started ordering equipment from Stewart & Stevens and trucks from Kenworth. The management team for TOPS was developed in June 2012. The company received it’s first of the equipment in July of 2012. The crews and equipment was transported to Kansas and completed the first fracturing job for Petro River outside of Newton, Kansas. After the Kansas work, TOPS established itself in Williston ND and worked for the next 2 years doing miscellaneous jobs for XTO, Whiting, Zavanna, Continental, as well as others. In the fall of 2014 TOPS was awarded jobs for EOG in Cheyenne and Wright WY, and after the successful completion of those wells moved back up to the Bakken for another 3 well pad. The winter of 2014 and spring of 2015 saw oil prices tumble and TOPS was kept busy doing pump jobs. In September of 2015 TOPS saw a management change with Jon Konrad and John Rogers taking over as the COO and Sales Director respectively. Along with their new managerial skills, they decided that the best move for TOPS would be to move the company to Grand Junction CO in order to position TOPS for further sucess. So in late September TOPS completed the move, and we are currently poised to complete work in any of the basins in the Rocky mountain front.
