TPCSA’s mission is to support and advocate for a policy and regulatory climate that ensures every student in Texas has access to ever-improving public school options. Representing nearly 85 percent of Texas public charter school students, TPCSA has the trusted and expert resources for educators and leaders, parents and families, charter hopefuls, legislators, members of the media and more. Charter schools are free, open-enrollment public schools that have the flexibility to adapt to the educational needs of individual students. They are held to stricter academic and financial standards than traditional public schools, because Texas'​ charters can be revoked after three strikes of unmet ratings. More than 375,000 students attend public charter schools in Texas, but there are more than 66,000 students on waitlists to attend a charter school. There is about a $1,000 per-student funding gap for Texas charter schools, because they do not receive facilities funding, unlike traditional public schools. With equitable funding, quality charters could replicate and grow the number of seats available to serve more families in need. BranchED is the first and only nonprofit organization in the nation dedicated to strengthening and growing educator preparation at Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), with the larger goals of both diversifying the teaching profession and intentionally addressing critical issues of educational equity for all students. BranchEd is extending its reach into K-12 by supporting principal coaching and training, with a focus on advancing equity for all students. More than half of American public-school students are children of color, and only 18% of their teachers are from these same racial and ethnic groups. The Branch Alliance for Educator Diversity (BranchED) was founded in 2017 to empower, connect, and advance Minority Serving Institutions (HBCUs, HSIs, tribal colleges, and others) to maximize programming and drive innovation in preparing highly-effective educators who reflect and champion the diversity of our nation’s school children. These 279 Minority Serving Institutions comprise 13% of education providers in the United States, but train 51% of all Hispanic students earning bachelor’s degrees in education, 51% of Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander teacher candidates, 38% of African American teacher candidates, and 35% of bachelor’s degrees in education for Native Americans and Asian Americans. BranchED has three goals that guide its work: • Empower: working together to strengthen and grow MSI educator preparation programs by providing capacity building support that enhances MSI capabilities • Connect: strengthening relationships among MSIs by building partnerships to spur collaboration and innovation • Advance: amplifying a collective voice and advocating for shared interests by promoting awareness of educator diversity and championing MSIs

The National Hispanic Institute (NHI) is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the future leadership needs of communities throughout the Americas. Founded in 1979 in Austin, Texas with the mission of serving the future leadership needs of the United States via the Hispanic/Latina/e/o/x community. NHI is now an international organization with over 100,000 alumni worldwide and a well-known consortium of notable colleges and universities. To carry out its mission, NHI annually conducts independent research focused on leadership and educational development, collaborates with K-12 schools, colleges, and universities, and annually works with over 3,000 high-achieving youth and their families. NHI distinguishes itself by training youth in social strategies as community equity building and community social entrepreneurship. NHI recognizes the talent of Hispanic and Latina/e/o/x youth, the potential they represent to the future of their community and extended sectors of the American and global society. Based on this philosophy, NHI develops and conducts experiences through which students may become intellectually, culturally, and socially engaged in the life of their communities. NHI utilizes a combination community-based revenue generating strategies to fund its work. It relies neither on government nor private charity to support its efforts.
