The Institute of Community Services, Inc. (ICS) was established in 1966 to provide comprehensive child-development services to children and families in Northwest Mississippi. ICS has Head Start centers which are NAEYC accredited, centers which are permanently structured, and partner centers with local school systems and local childcare facilities including: Head Start in 20 centers in 13 counties of Northwest Mississippi Early Head Start Office of Children & Youth (OCY) child care certificate program Head Start with blended services in public elementary schools, and services with child care centers. ICS is a private nonprofit organization with management staff in Holly Springs, Mississippi, and an area of Mississippi known as the Golden Triangle. ICS operates 20 centers in 13 counties, serves 3,639 children and families, and has more than 800 employees. We use the team approach to management and have teams at every center.
