To solve complex societal challenges, they need strategic support and impact-driven best practices and tools. At Flamboyan, we work at the intersection of education, government, strategic philanthropy and the non-profit sector, equipping leaders, teachers and community members to improve educational outcomes for kids through catalytic, results-driven collaboration. In D.C., we help educators transform student learning through partnership with families. Teachers report that family engagement work helps them feel more supported in the classroom and that students are more motivated to learn. Principals who work with us say that family engagement has improved their student achievement. For parents, Flamboyan's family engagement efforts create a renewed sense of hope and clarity on how to most effectively support their child's learning. In Puerto Rico, we are a leading foundation, paving the way for innovation in our sector and partnering with committed people in government, foundations, nonprofits, and schools. Collaboratively, we have overcome barriers to increase strategic, results-driven philanthropy and published critical research addressing deeply entrenched problems in our public schools. Moving forward, we will focus on identifying, replicating, and celebrating great teaching practices that impact student outcomes. The work of Flamboyan starts with people, listening and learning from parents, teachers, practitioners, and researchers. We refine, synthesize, and iterate upon their insights to create practical and effective trainings and tools and advocate for policies and system changes that help people help children succeed.

The Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association is a private, voluntary, non-profit organization established in 1928 with the purpose of uniting all Puerto Rico’s manufacturer and service industries into a strong and effective body in order to further their mutual interests as they relate to the private and public sectors of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Team Committee encouragement with young entrepreneurs to work together to increase their involvement in the community. With the support of the team and the collaboration of our sponsors, we successfully created four events through the year.

Habitat for Humanity of Puerto Rico is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit 501c3 organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses are then sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Hábitat for Humanity has more than 2,000 affiliates in the United States, Puerto Rico & Guam. It also has more than 100 affiliates in different countries around the world. 300,000 houses has been constructed, providing a safe and affordable home to more than 1.5 million people.
