JAF Bakery formerly known as ALAFIA BAKERY was establish in 1955. An institution with over 50 years of reputable standing in Ibadan. Alafia Bread emerged in the ancient city of Ibadan and started with the production of small loaves of bread that tasted so good and was also very affordable, bridging the gap between quality and quantity. Pa Justus Adesida (J.A) Falade, the founder of Alafia Bakery established the bakery with the aim of ensuring that everyone was able to access the bread which he deemed an essential commodity. Pa Falade was also the first baker to create the twin bread in Nigeria popular called “burédi o lomo mééji”, He was also the first to purchase a bread slicing machine which made Alàfia Bakery the first bakery to begin the production and distribution of sliced bread in Oyo State. Alafia Bakery was one of the best bakeries in Ibadan to the point Pa Falade was named the “THE KING OF BREAD”. Every ingredient used in the baking process was of the highest standard. Quality was the Watchword. THE KING IS BACK! Following the footsteps of Pa Falade, the KING OF BREAD, Alàfia Bakery has now metamorphosed into JAF BAKERY with its legacy intact. The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) began in 1986 as just a grand plan, a belief voiced by then-Governor Thomas H. Kean that New Jersey deserved its own world-class performing arts center. Ultimately it was decided there was no better place for a Jersey arts center to take root than in Downtown Newark; a building that would not only host the world’s greatest performers, but also act as the catalyst for revitalizing the state’s largest city. Since its opening season in 1997, NJPAC has attracted nearly 9 million patrons, plus 1.6 million children and their families. The Arts Center's array of more than 500 unique events each season, held on and off campus, serves New Jersey’s rich diversity of nationalities and ethnicities. Performers who have appeared in the acoustically superb, 2,800-seat Prudential Hall include Joshua Bell, El Gran Combo, Aretha Franklin, Audra McDonald, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Bonnie Raitt, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Stephen Colbert, Jerry Seinfeld, and Earth, Wind & Fire, among many others. Each year, NJPAC's Arts Education Department, one of the largest in the country, engages almost 80,000 public school children via arts learning initiatives in schools, in NJPAC conservatory, and on its stages. The Arts Center has established itself as a home for broadcast by networks including BET, HBO, Comedy Central, PBS and NBC. NJPAC provides forums for convening New Jersey’s citizenry to discuss significant issues of the day and “symbolizes Newark’s cultural renaissance” (Forbes magazine).

Schweid & Sons is a family-owned fourth generation ground beef purveyor, supplying restaurants, grocers and special events across the nation. In the late 1800s, Harry Schweid began selling quality meats to butchers and restaurants in New York City’s Lower East Side. By the 1950s, his son Sam Schweid continued in his father’s footsteps and established a successful meat shop in Harlem. In 1978, Sam’s son David Schweid took his family’s long-withstanding heritage in the meat purveyor industry and founded Schweid & Sons, a company that would focus on one product – ground beef. Today, that same passion, commitment and work ethic is carried on through David and his two sons Jamie and Brad, all with a dedication to producing the best tasting, highest quality burger.
