United Methodist Homes (UMH) was established in 1874 out of the vision of the members of a small church in West Haven, CT who cared deeply about helping the elders in their community and others in need. Out of their caring, they had the foresight to collaborate in such a way that nearly 140-years later their vision continues to serve those in need. UMH, as it stands today, is proud to carry on this tradition of caring for people across the continuum; seniors who are independent and those needing assistance, those rehabilitating from illness or surgery, younger adults with disabilities, and those living with dementia. Not only do we care for those who live in our communities, we care for and about their families and friends, and understand the need to offer them emotional and spiritual support. Equally important are the ways that we nurture and support our staff, the cornerstone of UMH communities.

Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. (FCS) is a non-profit that has been supporting people with disabilities since 1966. Providing support to adults with behavioral health and developmental disabilities and their families. FCS is considered one of the leading organizations in Carbon, Monroe, and Pike counties for enriching lives. Our ultimate goal is to empower our clients to achieve independence, individuality, productivity and inclusion within our community. The Meadows Nursing & Rehab Center is a 130-bed, long-term care facility offering top rated nursing care, skilled therapy services and recreational activities delivered with respect, compassion and dignity. Our interdisciplinary approach incorporates all departments as a team to aid our residents with compassionate care and professional services. Our philosophy has always focused on our residents first. The Meadows Manor is located on the same campus as the nursing facility and offers support, security and freedom in a beautiful residential setting. The Manor also offers an independent living option along with physical, occupational and speech therapies. Our seven other apartment facilities are located throughout the Wyoming Valley and offer ideal living in a small community environment for the elderly with very low, low or moderate income.

Friendship House provides programs and services that enhance the emotional, behavioral and social well-being of children and families. Our programs are child-centered, family focused and incorporate a systematic approach to helping through the Sanctuary® model of trauma-informed care. All services are designed to provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for children, from early learners to young adults and their families, to grow, heal, and learn in every aspect of their social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
