Advanced Living Communities is a faith-based, non-profit organization providing quality, affordable housing and services to individuals in need since 1962. We are a unique organization with an innovative approach to helping people live and age. History: Advanced Living Communities was founded in 1962 by members of the Schwenkfelder Church, a small Christian demonination native to southeastern Pennsylvania. Founded on the values of universal equality and unconditional compassion, Advanced Living opened its first residential retirement community, Schwenckfeld Manor, to low-income seniors in 1974. Expansions followed in 1979 and 1989. Advanced Living opened its second community, Schwenckfeld Terrace, in 2008, serving over 300 residents on its original campus. Vision: We, the board and management of Advanced Living Communities, will manifest our love of Jesus Christ by providing affordable living facilities in our region for a diverse population. We will develop affordable, secure, attractive and well-maintained communities. We will provide programs and services to our residents, and with the communities at large, which will ease life transitions. Mission: The mission of Advanced Living is to provide affordable housing and services for elderly and disabled persons while they are aging in place and others needing transitional housing.

Acme Providers enhances the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities in adulthood to live in a caring and safe environment. Acme respects our adults and supports each individual to reach their fullest potential. We empower these individuals to embrace each new day safe, secure and confident to implement their plans and desires in a family like community atmosphere. Our business is has a caring team atmosphere. The DSPs and adults enjoy sitting around the dinner table to a home cooked meal every night and have conversations like any other home. We enjoy going to the county fair together and taking walks in the park. We help every individual do the most that they are capable. We take care of each other the way we wan to be cared for.

Ligonier Valley Learning Center, Inc. (LVLC) has been in operation for over 30 years. LVLC is a nonprofit human service agency. Highly skilled clinicians offer exceptional services to children, youth and adults that promote mental health wellness. A teaching staff of educators provide early educational opportunities for children. At LVLC's State Licensed Outpatient Mental Health Wellness Clinic, individuals can receive individual, couples and family therapy. Medication management and psychiatric evaluations are also a service conducted at the clinic. Specialized programs for children include Mental Health Wellness Groups and Summer Mental Health Wellness Program. In addition, Keystone Stars Educational Child Care and NAEYC Accredited Educational Child Care and State subsidized PA Pre-K Counts school readiness program is available to children. Ligonier Valley Learning Center accepts Medical Assistance and most major Commercial Insurances for Counseling and other mental health wellness services.

Blair County Community Action Agency (BCCAA) was incorporated on June 8, 1965 as a private, non-profit corporation pursuant to Section 501 (c) [3] of the internal Revenue Code. The BCCAA assembles and directs federal and local resources to address the multidimensional influences which impact on the low income and socially disadvantaged people of Blair County. BCCAA has provided 47 years of uninterrupted direct and referral service to its constituents, functioning as a conduit for federal, state and local resources while addressing the causes and conditions of poverty and the economic under class in Blair County.
