In this role, I was responsible for developing, planning, organizing and controlling all activities of the department. Routine interaction/communication with management officials and staff was vital to the success of the organization to ensure the needs of the managers/employees (customers) were met. HR consulting services was provided on various matters such as: Company policies and procedures, employee benefits, employee performance management/counseling, compensation/salary equity, position descriptions, staffing needs, labor law compliance, employee development, implementation of training programs, HR metrics interpretation and conflict management/mediation. To further foster strong working relationships, I participated in bi-weekly Senior Management meetings and quarterly Operations/Project Management meetings. Frequently, I partnered with Project Managers to organize HR Q&A or “Brown Bag” luncheons at the project site. I provided oversight of the employee feedback program. The feedback was key to ensuring HR’s performance was strategically aligned with the organization’s goals. Upon reviewing this feedback with management officials, I collaborated with managers to develop and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements.
