The Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) is an international technical association representing iron and steel producers, their allied suppliers and related academia. The association is dedicated to advancing the technical development, production, processing and application of iron and steel. AIST was established on January 1, 2004, by the merger of two longstanding societies, the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers (AISE) founded in 1907 and the Iron & Steel Society (ISS) founded in 1974. The best practices of both predecessor organizations were incorporated into AIST to create a strong international, member-based technical organization that can sustain itself in an environment of continual change. AIST’s professional and student member base totals over 18,000, representing more than 70 countries and including engineers, operators, corporate administrators, researchers and educators. 38% of AIST members are industry suppliers, 29% producers, 30% students and 3% academia. AIST members actively participate within the association through technology divisions, member chapters, board of directors and the AIST Foundation. AIST is committed to presenting superior technical meetings, conferences, exhibits and publications to better serve those involved in the iron and steel community, including steel manufacturers, suppliers, consumers and academics. The Materials Research Society (MRS) is an international organization of almost 15,000 materials researchers from academia, industry and government, and a recognized leader in promoting the advancement of interdisciplinary materials research and technology to improve the quality of life. MRS was established in 1973 by a visionary group of scientists who shared the belief that their professional interests were broader in scope than existing single-discipline societies, and that a new interdisciplinary organization was needed. MRS sponsors two major annual Meetings offering approximately 95 topical symposia. The Society recognizes professional and technical excellence, conducts symposium tutorials, and encourages technical interaction among college students through University Chapters, and among materials professionals through regional Sections. Headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania (USA), MRS membership now spans over 90 countries, with more than 46 percent of members residing outside the United States. The Tri-County Workforce Investment Board, Inc. (TCWIB), the grant recipient and administrative entity of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA), is a consortium serving the counties of Armstrong, Butler and Indiana. TCWIB provides key policy decisions affecting the local workforce development system, and certifies the Pennsylvania CareerLinks. In addition, TCWIB provides Title I services to Adults, Youth, and Dislocated Workers through its Title I service providers.

Urban Impact is a faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit community development organization whose mission is to do our part in fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission on the North Side of Pittsburgh by following His model of holistic ministry by investing in the lives of at-risk children, youth, and their families in order to develop responsible followers of Christ. The William Penn Association is a Fraternal Benefit Society founded over 130 years ago. Our Association operates on a non-profit basis, providing Life Insurance and Annuities to our members. The William Penn Association was founded on February 21, 1886 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, by thirteen Hungarian coal miners. It was chartered by the State of Pennsylvania in December of that same year under the name “Verhovay Aid Association.” The goal of the founders was to extend a helping hand to each other and to the many Hungarian immigrants who worked and suffered in the mines and industrial centers of America at a period in its history when insurance of any sort was still in the far away future.

NOAS offers a variety of different programs to best support the children, young adults, and families we serve.
