Keystone Human Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the human spirit of all people. Since 1972, we have worked to promoting inclusion, creating opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to fully participate in their communities and fully enjoy their human rights. We provide community-based services to children and adults with autism, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and adults experiencing mental illness. Our programs also include early intervention, Capital Area Head Start, and Susquehanna Service Dogs. Although we’re based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, we serve children, adults, and families throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and Connecticut, as well as Moldova and India.

Firetree, Ltd. was formed in 1991 as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation designed to provide quality transitional services to individuals associated with the criminal justice system. Statistically, chemical abuse is an indirect or direct cause of criminal behavior in approximately 90 % of the prison population; however, a minimal number of offenders were receiving substance abuse treatment. Firetree, Ltd. developed the belief and the mission, that drug and alcohol treatment is essential to effect change in the criminal offender. It wasn’t long before serving those who are chemically dependent but not yet involved in the criminal justice system was recognized as yet another area of need.

The professionals at Child Development work with families and the community to provide high quality, comprehensive preschool education. We emphasize family involvement and supportive services to prepare each child for success in school and a lifetime of learning. Since the summer of 1965, Child Development, Inc., has operated high quality Head Start and childcare programs.

Families United Network, Inc. is a state licensed 501(c)3 non-profit social service agency. The agency was founded in 1996, and initially provided Foster Care services to children and families throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Today, Families United Network is a well-respected leader in child welfare that continues to provide quality foster care and adoption services, domestic and international adoption, and in addition, operates community residential and independent living facilities for adolescent boys and girls. With locations throughout Pennsylvania, Families United Network serves over 500 children on an annual basis.

Founded in 1976, the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence is the oldest statewide domestic violence coalition in the nation. Each year, free and confidential services are provided to nearly 90,000 victims of domestic violence and their children through a network of 59 community-based programs serving all 67 counties in the commonwealth. Founded in 1975, PCAR works to end sexual violence and advocates for the rights and needs of sexual assault victims. PCAR partners with a network of rape crisis programs to bring help, hope and healing around issues of sexual violence to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. PCAR: • Assures that communities have access to quality victim services and prevention education by providing funding, training, materials and assistance to a network of rape crisis centers that serve all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties. • Provides resources and training on sexual assault-related issues to professionals across the Commonwealth. • Promotes public policies that provide protections and services to victims of sexual violence, hold offenders accountable and enhance community safety, and works with media to increase public awareness, access to accurate information and ethical reporting practices. • Operates the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC), which identifies, develops and disseminates resources regarding all aspects of sexual violence prevention and intervention.

Schuylkill Community Action’s mission is to coordinate and focus all available resources upon the needs of low-income Schuylkill County residents. As a result, this enables them to obtain adequate, affordable housing and to secure opportunities to achieve self-sufficiency.

Real Alternatives exists to provide life-affirming pregnancy and parenting support services throughout the nation. These compassionate support services empower women to avoid crisis pregnancies, choose childbirth, receive adoption education, and improve parenting skills. Real Alternatives is the non-profit, charitable organization that administers the Pregnancy and Parenting Support Services for the states of Pennsylvania and Indiana. The General Assembly of Pennsylvania was the first government to fund a program of this type in the nation. The program was funded with $135 million for 28 years and served 353,000 women. In 2023, newly elected Governor Shapiro decided to unilaterally terminate this successful women’s program. The program is now funded through private donations. The State of Indiana in FY 2023/2024 funds its program at $5.5 million through the Indiana State Department of Health. During to 2022 Special Session, the Indiana Legislature and Governor provided an additional $2 million. The Programs in Pennsylvania and Indiana are made up of a statewide or regional network of social service agencies, pregnancy support centers, maternity residences and adoption agencies that offer comprehensive, life-affirming pregnancy and parenting support to women dealing with unplanned pregnancies. Service Providers with their 83 centers located throughout Pennsylvania and 32 centers in Indiana are staffed with fully trained, caring, and compassionate counselors. These Service Providers are non-discriminatory, non-profit organizations that are monitored annually to ensure compliance with the highest professional and ethical standards. More than 463,000 women in Pennsylvania and Indiana have been served since the program began in March 1996. Through their counselors, the centers offer free and confidential support, encouragement, guidance and practical assistance to women so who feel overwhelmed and alone while experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.

North Central Sight Services, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Our agency reaches over 1,000 individuals a year in six counties: Bradford, Centre, Clinton, Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga.
