CenClear was founded in 1980 as a non-profit organization to provide preschool services to children in low-income families. It was soon discovered that there were very few options at the time for young children with mental health issues. CenClear began offering mental health services to meet the needs of not only children, but teens and adults as well. When it was determined that some clients also needed drug and alcohol treatment services these services were added as well. Today CenClear offers services for pregnant moms, young parents, toddlers, preschool students, school-age children, teens and adults. CenClear's mental health treatment services include outpatient services, in-school services, family services, individual sessions and group sessions. Those in need of drug and alcohol services have the option of partial hospitalization services, intensive outpatient services and outpatient services. CenClear also offers Medication Assisted Treatment at our Punxsutawney and Clearfield locations. It is made available if it is determined it would help the client and the person participates in the therapy program as well. CenClear works to strengthen communities one person at a time.

Firetree, Ltd. developed the belief and the mission, that drug and alcohol treatment is essential to effect change in the criminal offender. It wasn’t long before serving those who are chemically dependent but not yet involved in the criminal justice system was recognized as yet another area of need.
