We serve as the central non-profit agency for Pennsylvania’s state-use program. Our Mission is to partner with our Member Agencies to identify, market, and deliver products and services that create employment opportunities for Pennsylvanians with disabilities. Through our network of almost 60 nonprofit Members, we are the largest provider of employment for Pennsylvanians with disabilities, making employment possible for over 2,000 individuals each year. Pennsylvania Farm Bureau is the state’s largest farm organization, representing farms of every size and commodity across Pennsylvania. Farm Bureau is based on a grassroots structure whereby county Farm Bureaus develop and implement policy positions. PFB’s programs and services are aimed at solving farm-related problems, tackling issues which threaten agriculture’s future, increasing net farm income, enlightening the non-farm public about modern-day agriculture and advancing rural life in the Keystone State. Legislative Representation The Farm Bureau provides members with representation in Washington and Harrisburg concerning legislation. The Farm Bureau is based on a grass roots structure whereby county Farm Bureaus and their leaders develop and implement policy to be determined at an annual meeting each year. Issues which Farm Bureau has represented members on includes: farmland preservation, commodity pricing, tort reform, property tax reduction, health insurance reform, Sunday hunting, water rights and wildlife management, to name a few. Information •Monthly publications and newsletters are produced to keep members informed as to legislative and organizational changes. •Community education programs outlining the importance of agriculture to everyone is pursued by programs in schools, ag days, farm shows and county events. •Six Mobile Ag Ed Science Labs travel across the state taking agriculture education to classrooms for grades K-12. •Ag scholarships are available for the Penn State School of Ag and Delaware Valley School of Ag through the PA Friends of Ag Foundation. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank has been dedicated to ending hunger for more than 30 years. The Food Bank started as a one-day demonstration project on World Food Day in 1981, and to address the needs of hungry families, began permanent operation on October 16, 1982. Originally, the Food Bank was located in a converted movie theater in Steelton. The Food Bank initiated a capital campaign, raising 1.5 million dollars directed to the construction of a brand new warehouse. Then, in 1994, the Food Bank relocated to its current facility in Harrisburg. Mission: Fighting hunger, improving lives, strengthening communities. At the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, we live our mission every day. It is our passion. We truly believe no one should be hungry and we are committed to working harder every day to make that belief a reality. We trust that the healthy food we distribute is an investment in our community, providing hope for families who are trying to build a brighter future and otherwise would lack fuel to succeed. What We Do: Serving 27 counties, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is the largest nonprofit food distribution organization in central PA. The Food Bank solicits, inventories and distributes food and other donated products to more than 1000 partner agencies (food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, etc.) directly serving our neighbors in need. The Food Bank distributed more than 50 million nutritious meals through our partner networks over the past year. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is part of the Feeding America and Feeding Pennsylvania network of food banks.

The Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA) exists to support member dentists, promote the art and science of dentistry and uphold the dental profession. PDA is a voluntary state organization comprising of approximately 5,200 member dentists. It is a constituency of the American Dental Association (ADA), the largest and oldest national dental society in the world. Mission: The purpose of the Pennsylvania Dental Association shall be to serve the public, improve their health, promote the art and science of dentistry and represent the interests of its members and the people they serve.
