The Schuylkill United Way is dedicated to providing funding, guidance and encouragement to our 15 partner agencies who help many people in our county by way of education, human service, health care assistance, and other programs that respond to community needs. You'll find our staff and supporters at our annual events aimed at educating everyone about our mission and the services of our Partner Agencies. These events include: ^ Captain Jason B. Jones Memorial Day of Care - May 13, 2022 ^ 5th Annual High School Football Challenge - June 21, 2022 ^ Stuff the Bus - Drop off locations for donated school supplies fill Schuylkill County during the month of July. We collect the items and put them in bookbags to be distributed to schools and agencies that get them to families in need. ^ The Nurse's Pantry - Located in schools in each district, this program provides basic hygiene items, lice kits, clothing, and snacks for school nurses to have at their disposal. The goal is to ensure students have what they need to be safe, healthy, and stay in school. ^ Annual Campaign – Spearheaded by the Campaign Chairperson & Campaign Leadership Committee, our campaign runs September to November. During this time, we actively seek funding pledges needed to answer our Partner Agencies’ calls for assistance to plan the following year. Leading the way in this endeavor are our Pacesetters. These are deeply dedicated individuals who contribute at least $500/year. In addition, Schuylkill United Way is a leader in many community initiatives including PA 211, Emergency Food & Shelter Program, SingleCare (prescription assistance), and was at the forefront of Schuylkill County's COVID-19 response.

THE INSTITUTE
THE INSTITUTE
Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania

The Institute of Money Laundering Prevention Officers (IMLPO) was formed in 2001 and since then has continued to provide a valuable network and resource to the anti-financial crime community. Last year, IMLPO celebrated its 20th Anniversary and we took the opportunity to update our branding to ensure future continuing relevance to members and partners. The Committee is delighted to launch a new brand identity; The Institute of Money Laundering Prevention Officers will now be trading as ‘The Institute’. We are a unique, cross-representative forum of Financial Crime professionals who share views, experiences and concerns – in a safe environment – of the day-to-day business of combating financial crime, particularly money laundering. It is a recognised industry forum that helps to shine a light on key financial crime topics of the moment, to share views on best practice and to ensure that those within financial crime roles are aware of current issues, trends and practices. As a result, it offers a fantastic networking opportunity with like-minded professionals. The Institute's membership includes – and is open to – not just financial services but all the regulated sector, including gambling/gaming, accountancy, law firms and solicitors, trust and company service providers, estate agents, money service businesses and others. Whilst we predominantly operate out of London, the membership is UK-wide due to parts of the yearly schedule being held outside of the capital. If you would like to join The Institute or would like to learn more, please visit our website at www.imlpo.com
