The Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County includes 19 libraries in the Oklahoma City metro area. The libraries include Almonte, Belle Isle, Capitol Hill, Ralph Ellison, Patience S. Latting Northwest, Ronald J. Metro Library is governed by a 27-member Library Commission appointed by the municipalities in which the libraries are located and is funded by county ad valorem tax.
