United Community Action Program started its mission in the summer of 1969. Since that year, United has grown to serve literally thousands of people from dozens of communities throughout northeastern Oklahoma. Headquartered in the seat of Pawnee County, the Main Office actively supports its various programs from a central location. Appreciating the unique strengths and challenges of each community, United programs provide opportunities for partnership that are molded to fit each community. In harmony with our vision, our partnerships forge the strength of combined resources, enabling each community to act to solve its own problems. In addition to forging strong partnerships within each community, United contributes to local economies, with an annual budget of $18 million dollars and a workforce of over 400 people. In the role of partner, United has established programs throughout Creek, Kay, Noble, Osage, and Pawnee Counties. However, our individual programs provide services in several other Counties as well, expanding our services to more than 10% of the state of Oklahoma.

Youth Services is a proud partner agency of the Tulsa Area United Way. Youth Services assists more than 18,000 young people and their families each year with programs focused on four key areas: Runaway and Homeless Youth, Counseling, Delinquency Prevention and Youth Development. Youth Services helps keep youth safe and provides tools youth need to lead healthy and productive lives.

Domestic Violence Intervention Services (DVIS), a Tulsa Area United Way partner agency, is the only nonprofit agency in Tulsa, Okla., and the surrounding communities providing comprehensive intervention and prevention services to men, women and children affected by domestic violence. The DVIS mission is to rebuild lives affected by domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, shelter, counseling and education. DVIS offers a 24-hour information and crisis line 918.7HELP.ME (918.743.5763), hospital support to victims of sexual assault, counseling, transitional living, emergency shelter services, legal services, and numerous outreach and community education initiatives.

John 3:16 Mission is an interdenominational Christian ministry that exists to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of Tulsa's hungry, homeless and at-risk. Located in downtown Tulsa, Okla., the Mission provides food, shelter, clothing and restorative programs to those in need. Since its founding in 1952, the Mission has served in excess of 4 million meals and provided over 1 million individual shelters to the homeless. Tulsa's Only Gospel Rescue Mission John 3:16 Mission is Tulsa's only Gospel Rescue Mission and is a member of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (AGRM). As such, it emphasizes the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to transform even the most broken lives for the better. To this end, the Mission strives through all its programs to emulate the compassion and love of Jesus so that the lives of homeless and at-risk people can be improved. The Mission's overnight shelter at 506 N. Cheyenne Ave. provides a safe refuge from the street each night for up to 110 men. We also serve, on average, more than 500 meals each day to Tulsa's homeless and at-risk. Additionally, the Mission operates a Family & Youth Center located in north Tulsa that is dedicated to family and community restoration. The FYC provides material, spiritual and educational support to at-risk, low-income families living in inner-city environments.

MORE THAN A HOMELESS SHELTER WORKING TO END HOMELESSNESS The mission: of the Tulsa Day Center is to serve those who are experiencing or at risk homelessness. The Vision: we envision a future where every Tulsan has a home.

We are a nonprofit group home for 44 kids. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for adolescents to overcome the trauma they have experienced and prepare them for a better future than they imagined for themselves.

Lions Meadows of Hope, formerly known as the Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch until 2015, is a foster care agency and official project of the Lions Clubs of Oklahoma. This is how we fulfill our mission: - We contract with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to recruit, train, certify and support foster parents in the Stillwater, Perkins, and other nearby communities. - We create a sense of community on our 160-acre campus by providing homes for families who are willing to care for a minimum of four foster children, with the primary goal of keeping brothers and sisters together. - We’re committed to preventing placement disruptions by providing the support necessary for foster parents to continue to say “yes” to foster care.
