Personnel Recruitment and Selection
• Analyzes staffing needs with the goal of developing an effective placement plan
• Recruits using local classified advertisements and job boards
• Utilizes behavioral based interviewing to identify qualified personnel
• Manages the placement of selected individuals
• Coordinates onboarding activities with Ft. Sill Apache Gaming Commission
Compensation and Benefits
• Assesses applicant’s qualifications for proper compensation
• Reviews employee performance appraisals for potential wage increase
Employee and Labor Relations
• Establishes workplace policies and procedures as well as monitor their application and enforcement to ensure consistency
• Resolves employee complaints filed with local, state and federal agencies involving employment practices utilizing professional resources as necessary
• Conducts background checks and drug screenings for potential employees
Employment Law and Ethics
• Assures compliance with all personnel related laws and regulations to include Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Department of Labor, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, and Federal Labor Standards Act
• Monitors all disciplinary actions up to, and including suspensions and terminations of employees
• Ensures that workforce planning and employment activities are compliant with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Human Resources Information System
• Worked in a concerted effort to implement a new Human Resources Information System
• Acted as a liaison between the implementation team remotely and the Human Resources team to
transfer benefit, 401k and personnel records into the new HRIS
