The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors is the worldwide leader in pressure equipment safety. It was established in 1919 to promote greater safety to life and property through uniformity in the construction, installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of pressure equipment. National Board members are the chief boiler and pressure vessel inspectors representing most states and all provinces of North America, and many major cities in the United States. The mission of the Heinzerling Community is to provide a loving and nurturing environment that enriches the development, education and quality of life of individuals with severe or profound developmental disabilities. The Heinzerling Community is located on the Southwest side of Columbus and provides 24 hour residential care for 208 individuals with severe developmental disabilities. A staff of over 520 professionals works around the clock to nurture our residents and give them a fulfilled life. This is accomplished through a personalized approach involving many therapies including physical/occupational therapy, communication skills, life skills, sensory development, and mobility opportunities for residents. Much of this occurs at the Heinzerling Community and off-site during community field trips.

The result was the establishment of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in 1970. Since its initiation, the National Registry has certified over 2 million EMS providers nationwide. Today, more than 500,000 individuals are nationally certified at the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced-EMT (AEMT), or Paramedic level.

The Orton Ceramic Foundation manufactures and sells temperature monitoring devices used to confirm process temperatures and measure heat work (Pyrometric Cones, TempTabs, TempCheks, and PTCR rings. Orton also manufactures thermal analysis instruments (dilatometers, glass testing, and gradient furnaces) and electronic controllers for the professional potters market. The Orton materials testing laboratory is a full-service, independent facility focused on the refractory, glass, and ceramic industries.
