The Youth Opportunity Center is more than a beautiful 75-acre campus with residential cottages and a detention center. Beyond the accredited programs for diplomas on office walls, the YOC is about people helping people. Since the early 1990's, the YOC has provided a safe place for youth and families with severe challenges. Since then, thousands of children and families have been helped by YOC staff members who dedicated themselves to making a difference in a child's life. YOC's nine residential cottages, the juvenile detention center, outpatient counseling clinic and the psychiatric residential treatment center provide comprehensive behavioral health services to more than 60 counties in Indiana and more than 200 youth on a daily basis. Oesterlen Services for Youth began serving children and families in 1903. Today the agency is respected statewide for its high quality emotional and behavioral health services. Oesterlen has a broad array of services ranging from community counseling for youth, adults, and their families to secure residential treatment. The 100 acre Springfield, Ohio campus contains seven modern buildings including the 38,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose Stevens Learning Center, attached to a 13,000 sq. ft. state of the art intensive treatment facility.

The Ohio Health Care Association is a non-profit association of over 1000 skilled nursing facilities, assisted living residences, providers for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, home health and hospice providers caring for nearly 100,000 Ohioans. It is the largest long-term care association in the state, and the only chartered Ohio affiliate of the American Health Care Association, representing more than 12,000 long-term care facilities nationwide. As the largest long-term care association in the state, OHCA represents small providers, large providers, providers with both individual and group ownership, publicly-traded and government-owned properties, proprietary and philanthropic homes. As diverse as our members are in size and ownership, OHCA member skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, facilities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, home health and hospice providers are similar in their quest for quality and for reductions in governmental oversight that continue to stifle individualism and innovation. As an information and education resource to Ohio’s long-term care providers, suppliers, consultants and to the public, OHCA performs a necessary and vital service.
