CITY BARBEQUE
CITY BARBEQUE
Dublin, Ohio
500+ employees
In 1999, a Kansas farm kid named Rick Malir teamed up with a competition barbeque team, quit his day job, bought an old donut shop, and opened the first City Barbeque. Today we own and operate 54 restaurants in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia, and we’re looking at new markets all the time. Every day, at every restaurant, our teams slow-smoke award-winning barbeque and craft homemade sides and desserts from scratch. Our food has been honored by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (American Royal Invitational World Champion Brisket), Restaurant Hospitality magazine (“More Cowbell,” named one of the country’s best sandwiches), the National Turkey Federation (Turkey on the Menu, Fast Casual category), and by local publications in every market we serve. We also offer personalized, affordable, award-winning catering. We’re so proud to cater folks’ special moments, and our experience can’t be matched: we cater more than 2,000 weddings each year! Our friendly catering team makes every event—from formal wedding receptions to casual backyard get-togethers—flawless and fun. Each City Barbeque joint serves its community by giving back about 10% of pre-tax profits to local charities and non-profits; donating food to community events and food-insecure families; and raising funds for organizations like the American Cancer Society, the Resurrecting Lives Foundation, the FFA, and more. Our team is committed to our values: serving competition-quality barbeque with genuine backyard hospitality; improving ourselves and our processes a little every day; and staying true to our purpose of serving and creating happiness. That begins with serving and supporting our team: with industry-leading pay, ever-improving benefits, scholarship opportunities, and more. We’ve been named Global Best Practices winner for people services by TDn2K and best employer in our Ohio hometown for three years running. We’d love to welcome you to the team.

The Story of Skyline Chili. From a small kitchen in the village of Kastoria, Greece, a fascinated young Nicholas Lambrinides watched as his mother and grandmother prepared authentic Greek dishes. Their recipes had been passed down from generation to generation. These were unique, wonderful dishes that had the power to bring his whole family together. Nicholas dreamed that one day he would bring these recipes and traditions to America, where he could share them with friends and family. In 1949, his dream came true when Nicholas opened his first restaurant overlooking the skyline of Cincinnati, Ohio and began serving his delicious secret recipes to appreciative customers. Since then, Skyline Chili's Coneys,Ways and table-side service have been enjoyed by generations. Our Chili continues to be made from Nicholas's original recipe, using a secret blend of spices and only the highest quality ingredients. MONTGOMERY INN, INC.

In 1951, Ted and Matula Gregory opened the original restaurant in the very underdeveloped area of Montgomery, Ohio. It was really just a place for Ted and his friends to gather, but Matula’s incredible cooking skills could not be ignored. One night she decided to make ribs, and people went nuts for them. Soon a local critic dubbed Ted the “Ribs King,” and the legend was secured. As the town of Montgomery blossomed, word of these incredible ribs spread fast—so much so that the Inn became a mecca for any celebrity passing though town, a tradition that lives on to this day. Two locations: The Original Montgomery Inn and The Boathouse. Montgomery Inn food is so beloved that it‘s available online anywhere in the country for those who can’t wait to get their fix. The Gregory children are carrying on their parents’ legacy, making sure Montgomery Inn remains one of the finest family restaurants in the country, and keeping the colorful memory of the Ribs King alive and well. The Best Ribs on the Planet. And Beyond. Ted and Matula Gregory truly earned the titles of Ribs King and Ribs Queen. When we say our ribs are famous, we mean it. Enjoyed by actors, athletes, and every U.S. President since Gerald Ford, they’re hand-spiced and slow-roasted daily, then finished off on our custom broiler. But Matula’s secret recipe sauce is the real star, made with only the finest California tomatoes and a super-secret blend of all-natural spices. And don’t worry about wearing a bib. It’s a good look.
