The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy enhances the region’s quality of life by protecting and restoring exceptional places. A private nonprofit conservation organization founded in 1932, WPC has helped to establish 11 state parks, conserved more than 260,000 acres of natural lands and protected or restored more than 3,000 miles of rivers and streams. We provide our region with clean water, healthy forests and wildlife and thousands of acres of natural areas free for all to explore. The Conservancy owns and operates Fallingwater, a symbol of people living in harmony with nature. In addition, WPC enriches our region’s cities and towns by planting and maintaining 130 community gardens and greenspaces with the help of thousands of volunteers each year. Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM) is a nonprofit, voluntary cost-sharing ministry through which participating Christians meet each other’s medical bills. CHM is based on Galatians 6:2 and Acts 2 and 4. Since 1981, we've satisfied nearly $10 billion in medical bills. The ministry is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Christian Healthcare Ministries is not a health insurance company. Rather, we are a group of thousands of Christians across the United States and around the world who share each other’s burdens in the area of health care costs. Goodwill Industries of Akron is a not-for-profit corporation that helps individuals prepare for, find and retain employment. Operating in the five-county region of Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland and Richland, the Akron-based agency was established in 1927. The Youngstown Area Goodwill exists because we believe in the value of people and the power of work. Since 1893, we have been helping people overcome barriers to employment. We run social enterprise operations, such as our thrift stores, that allow us to employ people with disabilities and offer other services for people who face barriers to employment.
