Founded in 1936, OASBO is a not-for-profit, professional association serving the continuing education and legislative needs of public school district treasurer/CFO’s, business managers, transportation directors, food & nutrition directors and administrative support staff. In 1992, the Ohio Business Roundtable was established for one sole purpose: to improve Ohio’s business climate. Since its inception, the OBRT has worked with Ohio’s governors and legislative leaders to make Ohio more business-friendly and more competitive both nationally and internationally. The Roundtable is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization comprised of chief executive officers of many of Ohio’s largest, most successful companies. The Ohio Municipal League (OML) is a statewide association that represents the collective interests of Ohio’s cities and villages to the Ohio General Assembly, as well as to the state elected and administrative offices. The Building Industry Association (BIA) of Central Ohio is a tax exempt and incorporated Trade Association of single and multiple family housing builders, developers and remodelers doing business in the central Ohio area. Founded in 1943 and affiliated with the Ohio Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders, its primary services include legislative and regulatory representation, development of favorable public perceptions of the industry, promotion of business standards and support of home ownership.
