AIHS was designated by the state of Indiana as the Area Agency on Aging for northeast Indiana serving nine counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley.

The RIDGE Project is a Christian, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 2000 that provides services through partnerships with churches, schools, and state and national agencies to serve the youth and families of Ohio. Additionally, the organization strives to inform individuals, communities, the media and local and national policy makers of the importance of strong families. The organization has been recognized as a federal Department of Health and Human Services “Best Practice” program, and has been identified nationally as a leader in family and youth services. Our mission is to provide and promote opportunities that empower people with disabilities to achieve their potential. Our goal is to empower people with visual, hearing, physical, mental/emotional, or cognitive disabilities through; adaptive equipment, advocacy, Braille production, independent Living skills, In-home care, Sign language interpreting, transportation training, and numerous other areas.

As the fiscal officer, I process and pay billing paperwork and prepare documents for audits. I am also responsible for preparing all financial documents for board meetings as well as yearly audits. At board meetings I must explain documents and their meanings about how certain items have effected or could effect the business in the future. It is my responsibility to prepare accurate and effective yearly budgets for SafeHaven, Inc. I process time and attendance and effectively administer payroll. Through the representative payeeship program overseen by Social Security Administration, I accurately keep track of roughly 80 clients weekly and monthly expenses. I effectively process all clients request, phone calls, and handle any and all concerns in a timely manner. I am also responsible for interviewing potential clients, during this process I must make sure they meet certain qualifications.
