The Gathering Place’s mission is to provide a caring community that supports, educates, and empowers individuals and families currently coping with the impact of cancer through programs and support services provided free of charge. Since its inception in 2000, the organization has helped more than 47,000 individuals coping with cancer through more than 371,000 visits. The Gathering Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded by the generous donations from individuals, businesses, foundations, and memorable events.

The Ohio Domestic Violence Network (ODVN) believes that ending violence against women and children requires connection with organizations and individuals to create a clear vision and collective voice for social and systemic change. ODVN's purpose is to support and strengthen Ohio's response to domestic violence through training, public awareness and technical assistance and to promote social change through the implementation of public policy. ODVN maintains a commitment to the empowerment of battered women and children as well as to the elimination of personal, institutional and cultural violence. Membership is open to any organization or individual that supports the ODVN mission. ODVN invites the participation of diverse constituencies. ODVN's structure reflects its philosophy and commitment to collective decision-making and egalitarian relations. ODVN operates as a 501 (c)(3) membership organization and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that meets quarterly and consists of 19 people who are representatives from active member domestic violence organizations, community members and survivors of domestic violence. The Board of Directors represents all geographic areas of the State of Ohio, including urban and rural areas, and represents various underserved groups. ODVN's membership reflects the diversity of Ohio's domestic violence programs, allied professionals, and concerned individuals who are from every region of Ohio representing both the rural and urban areas. Most domestic violence member programs have over a ten-year history in working with survivors of domestic violence. ODVN works collaboratively with other statewide agencies, programs and coalitions. The Ohio Domestic Violence Network is an active and long-standing member of the National Network to End Domestic Violence Network.

Conducted interviews and wrote compelling profiles of volunteers and donors for both print and digital publications, highlighting their contributions and inspiring others to get involved.

Adoption Network Cleveland: The Ohio Family Connection connects and empowers individuals, organizations and communities impacted by adoption and foster care and provides a source of healing for those in need. OUR HISTORY In 1972, help was non-existent for crime and trauma victims. In response to their overwhelming needs, Captain John Cunningham, Stella Long, the late Richard Kinsinger, and Robert Denton came together to form Victim Assistance Program. Formalizing services in 1974, under the leadership of Robert Denton, Victim Assistance Program pioneered comprehensive services from the crime scene through the criminal justice system, in a unique collaboration with the police, prosecutors, and the courts. Today, that tradition continues, and our community relationships allow Victim Assistance Program to help thousands of individuals transition from hardship to healing each year.
