SOUTHEASTERN CONTAINER, INC.
SOUTHEASTERN CONTAINER, INC.
Enka, North Carolina

It all began in the early ’80s when a group of Coca-Cola bottlers wanted to purchase a key raw material, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging, at a lower cost. They envisioned using technology and innovative processes to enhance and create better packaging. This common thread united the group, and in 1982 Southeastern Container, Inc. (SEC) was founded as a cooperative, allowing the members to purchase products at cost. Our first plant, which included injection molding and blow molding, opened in 1982 in Enka, NC. Over the years, adding new member bottlers resulted in significant growth for our team members and us. Today, we provide preforms and bottles to over 50 Coca-Cola operations in the US and Canada in 34 states and six Canadian provinces, stretching from Quebec to Florida and as far west as Montana. Our dedication to quality and the use of state-of-the-art technology transformed us from a single manufacturing plant into a world leader in the beverage industry. Southeastern Container is one of the largest PET bottle manufacturers, providing PET bottles, preform bottles, and HDPE pallets for Coca-Cola bottling companies.
