Schuyler Hospital is a 16-bed critical access hospital, with a 120-bed skilled nursing facility attached. The group began in 1938 with three physicians,Dr. Charles Dickson, Dr. William Dickson and Dr. Millard Slocum. These three physicians formed a practice and rented quarters at 258 Genesee Street in Utica, NY. By merging their practices, they were able to realize the benefits of a physician-owned multi-specialty group practice to improve the quality of medical care received by patient. As the group grew larger, they moved their facility to its current location on Burrstone Road in New Hartford, NY. Today, the group employs over 100 providers and 500 staff members. As the group continues to expand, the focus is still on patient-centered, physician-directed, quality care.

The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States, Canada (UA), affiliated with the national building trades, represents approximately 370,000+ plumbers, pipefitters, sprinkler fitters, service technicians and welders in local unions across North America. We also honor a federation agreement with both the Australian Plumbing Trades Employees Union (PTEU) and Irish Technical, Engineering Electrical Union (TEEU). The UA has been training qualified pipe tradesmen and women longer than anyone else in the industry. We provide the premier training programs available in the industry today, including five-year apprenticeship programs, extensive journeyman training, a comprehensive, five-year instructor training program, and numerous certification programs. The House of the Good Shepherd was founded in 1872 in Utica, New York to help meet the needs of local children and families. Since then, The House has evolved with the changing child welfare system. We have grown into a comprehensive human service agency providing treatment to more than 600 children and their families a year. Our goal is to help children and families, who are struggling with serious emotional, social and behavioral problems, discover their ability to succeed. Children and families who arrive at The House often have exhausted every available option for remaining together. Our main location is on a 27-acre campus at 1550 Champlin Avenue in Utica, New York. The House currently employs 400 full- and part-time staff and has more than 200 volunteers and student interns. The House of the Good Shepherd is classified as a non-sectarian, non-profit corporation, and is designated as a 501(c)3 charitable institution. We provide services without regard to ethnicity, religion, or financial status.
