Overview: Trudeau Institute is a nonprofit biomedical research enterprise dedicated to immunology and infectious disease research, focusing on deadly pathogens including tuberculosis, SARS-CoV-2, Zika, influenza, and tick-borne Powassan virus. Trudeau’s roots are traced to 1884, when Edward Livingston Trudeau launched the first American laboratory solely dedicated to tuberculosis research. The core of our strategy, the Trudeau Research Network (TRN), is expanding the reach of our labs and accelerating our progress discovering and optimizing innovative treatment options against infectious diseases. Partners include Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the Texas Biomedical Research Institute, global biopharmaceutical companies, and large non-profit global health organizations. Education initiatives include the 15-credit immersive, semester-long Clarkson Trudeau Biomedical Scholars project and the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP). In 2020, Trudeau launched a critical real-time community pandemic response, manufacturing scarce COVID testing fluid for the Adirondack Health Medical Center and sterilizing their N-95 facemasks. With the hospital, Trudeau established a regional COVID Testing Lab for the underserved North Country with the capacity of 1,000 tests daily and equipment essential for Trudeau’s work developing tests for the next outbreak.

Miner Agricultural Research Institute is the present-day manifestation of the philosophy and principles once embodied in Heart's Delight Farm. Since its creation in 1951, the principal function has been, and continues to be, the economic improvement of agricultural operations through research, education, and demonstration. Miner Institute conducts research programs that apply basic science to contemporary problems confronting the dairy and equine industries. Our areas of focus include the crop-animal-environment interface, cow comfort and behavior, and equine reproductive management. Miner Institute delivers outstanding educational programs designed to train students to return to the dairy and equine industries in decision-making roles. Our continuing education programs disseminate practical animal-crop system information to producers and allied industry to enhance the future sustainability of dairy and equine production systems. Utilizing both the onsite Holstein dairy farm and our Morgan horse herd, Miner Institute demonstrates the latest innovations in crop and dairy/equine production so that regional producers and allied industry may understand the on-farm application of new technologies.

The Green Mountain Valley School (GMVS) is a world-class ski academy in Fayston, Vermont, with alpine training facilities at Sugarbush Resort and multiple Nordic training facilities throughout the area. The academy offers a full academic curriculum, theater program, student clubs, and spring and fall sports.
