Since 1852, Cayuga Centers has been caring for vulnerable children, families, and individuals. At Hiscock Legal Aid Society (HLA), we are dedicated to the principle that no one in Onondaga County shall be denied justice because of a lack of means. HLA, founded in 1949, promotes the fundamental right of every person to equal justice under the law. We provide high quality legal assistance to individuals and families in Onondaga County and the surrounding region. Our practice areas cover a variety of immigration matters, mandated family court cases, divorce, domestic violence, housing, unemployment, appeals, parole revocation, and extradition. We work collaboratively with other legal assistance and human service providers to develop innovative ways to provide needed services to the maximum number of people in our community. In the last 18 months, we’ve handled more than 10,000 cases and impacted more than 14,000 people.
