Founded in 1958, Maria College is one of 17 colleges and universities in the United States sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. The private, co-educational, Catholic college in Albany serves almost 800 students in a variety of two and four year degrees and certificate programs preparing for meaningful careers. Maria College has a reputation for excellence in health related programs of nursing, occupational therapy assistant, health care management, psychology, and a foundation in liberal arts. Programs are delivered with high academic standards, convenient scheduling formats for students of any age who will benefit from small classes and 1:1 student support.

WMHT is a PBS television station and 24-hour NPR classical music radio station serving Eastern New York and Western New England based in New York's Capital Region. WMHT operates public television stations WMHT, WMHT-PBS World and WMHT-Create TV, as well as public radio stations WMHT-FM 89.1/WRHV-FM 88.7, WEXT-FM 97.7 (both of which are also available via HD radio) and RISE, a radio reading service for the blind and print-disabled. WMHT's public media services include a multitude of local online video featuring news from the Capitol in Albany, live streaming and mobile radio, podcasts and more at wmht.org. WMHT is supported by more than 30,000 members.

Capital District Beginnings is a NYS Education Department approved Preschool Special Education Service Agency as well as an Evaluator and Provider of Early Intervention and contracted school-age Special Education Services. Beginnings currently provides a wide array of special education and therapy services to children in their homes or in one of over 70 different child care centers, preschools, and schools including Universal Pre-Kindergartens and Head Start programs. Established in 1984, Beginnings has become one of the largest early childhood special needs providers in the Greater Capital Region. However we might not be easy to recognize due to our unique model of integration. Instead of bringing children with special needs to separate centers, we provide services where children are typically living, learning, and playing. We accomplish our mission of true integration by supporting and blending into existing early childhood programs and community settings through long standing education and community partnerships. We are able to provide a variety of individualized, high-quality educational and therapeutic services for children from birth to five-years-old with special needs, and also provide support to their families. Beginnings uses a child-centered philosophy incorporating learning through play. We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate, support, and strengthen existing high-quality Pre-School and Universal Pre-K programs through strong, collaborative teaching partnerships. Capital District Beginnings prides itself on its quality of services, true integration model, diversity of service options and strong reputation. Although we are a large, decentralized Agency, we strive to empower and value all employees and often refer to ourselves as “Beginnings Family.” Through the use of teams and regional clusters we create smaller, supportive, family style working environments. We work hard to attract and retain highly qualified teaching and therapy professionals.

Doane Stuart School's Mission Statement: "The mission of Doane Stuart is education, for students from every quarter. In a college preparatory context, where the joy of discovery is valued, Doane Stuart emphasizes serious study, educates to social responsibility, and lays the foundation for a strong faith."​[3] The school was founded on the principles of ecumenism, co-education, and community service. In recent years, the mission has been refined. The school accepts students of all faiths and includes a non-doctrinal religious curriculum in which students can explore their own faith and the faiths of others. Doane Stuart students are very active in the community, completing more than 5,000 hours annually of volunteer community service in the Albany area. The school also emphasizes academic excellence and integrity. The Upper School has a rigorous college preparatory curriculum and virtually all of its graduates have continued their education at some of the nation's most highly selective colleges and universities.
