In 1997, Progressive Dimensions opened its countertop business to the public out of a small garage in Barnegat, New Jersey. It was always a dream for Ed Cassidy to own his own business so he took out a $ 7,000 loan from a friend and took a leap of faith. He began fabricating laminate by hand, spreading the word by taking contractor jobs here and there. He was joined by his wife, Lisette, who is in charge of marketing and now laughs about the challenge of being creative while working on a tight budget.
