Founded in 1907, the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is the world’s first and largest professional organization dedicated to advancing cancer research and its mission to prevent and cure cancer. AACR membership includes more than 54,000 laboratory, translational, and clinical researchers; population scientists; other health care professionals; and patient advocates residing in 130 countries and territories around the world. Presently, 32 percent of members live outside the United States and 22 percent of AACR’s international members are located in countries with emerging economies. The AACR marshals the full spectrum of expertise of the cancer community to accelerate progress in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer by annually convening more than 30 conferences and educational workshops, the largest of which is the AACR Annual Meeting. In addition, the AACR publishes 10 prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journals and a magazine for cancer survivors, patients, and their caregivers. The AACR funds meritorious research directly as well as in cooperation with numerous cancer organizations. As the Scientific Partner of Stand Up To Cancer, the AACR provides expert peer review, grants administration, and scientific oversight of team science and individual investigator grants in cancer research that have the potential for near-term patient benefit. The American College of Physicians (ACP) is a national organization of internists — physician specialists who apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness.

Pillar Care Continuum (formerly CPNJ) was founded in 1953 by the parents of children with cerebral palsy who wanted better services for their loved ones. They operated from donated space in the basement of Orange Memorial Hospital. The organization has steadily grown over the years and today it is a $27 million dollar organization with more than 500 staff members at 14 program sites serving more than 1,400 infants, children and adults with disabilities. Pillar Care (formerly CPNJ) is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and other special needs by supporting personal growth, independence and participation in the community.

Valley Youth House is the catalyst for youth to achieve their desired future through genuine relationships that support families, ensure safe places, and build community connections. We began in 1973 as a single shelter in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. Valley Youth House was open day and night, ensuring that vulnerable, abused and homeless young people in the community had access to shelter and counseling. Even then, we represented more than just a roof and beds; we were an organization committed to building a solid foundation for every individual who came through our doors. That same dedication still drives us today, as we have grown from that first house in the Valley to over 250 residential sites throughout Pennsylvania. Though our reach and programming has vastly expanded, our mission remains the same. We educate, empower and strengthen the lives of children, youth and families, and build skills that foster growth and independence. For over forty-five years, we have been proud to be there for two generations. We stand ready to be there for the next generation as well. Our doors remain open – we just have more of them now.

The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey cares for those in need, enhances Jewish life and ensures the continuity of a vibrant Jewish community locally, in Israel and around the world. The Federation, a comprehensive communal organization, is committed to promoting and enhancing Jewish life throughout Southern New Jersey. The Federation, which was founded in 1922, serves the Jewish community in Camden, Gloucester and Burlington counties. It is the third largest Jewish Federation in New Jersey. Its hub is the 108,000 square foot Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Jewish Community Campus, which opened in 1997. The Arc of Somerset County serves individuals with developmental disabilities and their families from birth through the senior years of life through our many programs and services in Somerset County.
