Telco Triad Community Credit Union has been serving the financial needs of its members since it was established as Sioux City District Telco Credit Union in 1945 by the employees of the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. In the late 1970's, Sioux City District began to expand by merging credit unions. With the merger of Health Triad Credit Union in 1983, the name was changed to Telco Triad Credit Union. With subsequent mergers, we became Telco Triad Community Credit Union, serving families living or working in Woodbury, Clay, Plymouth and Pottawattamie counties, as well as all contiguous counties in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. The first office was opened in May 1955 in the Insurance Exchange Building. In 1961, Telco purchased and moved into a new location at 509 9th Street. Further growth enabled the credit union to purchase its present main office facility at 1420 Tri View Ave. in 1981. Continued growth and expansion has led to office locations at 5500 Military Road and 2550 Glenn Ave. in Sioux City, as well as 24 West 4th Street in Spencer, and 11 North 7th St. Denison, Iowa. Our assets are in excess of $135 million, serving over 15,000 members. We are proud of our over 78 years of service providing low cost financial assistance to our members and look forward to continued growth into the next century.
